What compels me to pen these verses?
Every syllable hand-picked
Meticulously fashioning the perfect words
Conveying beautiful, imperfect feelings

Sentiments that will outlast the universe
Impervious to the weapons of man
Which we use against ourselves day-by-day

Creation reigns eternal
One day, when mankind is long finished -
Winds will echo words we once spoke
Regaling the Earth with our tales
