a cacophonous carousel of

drugged up pasty angels

slows and

they tumble off with their

high-pitched giggles

piercing the night sky

and drag their friends

to see the bearded lady

(only fifty cents)

their pupils grow as

they see that

the cotton candy stall is

closer (to feed their

munchies)

and they spin around and

board the

Tilt-A-Whirl

stumble; scream; vomit

and the fluorescent wings

pasted to their backs

fall to the ground.

they don't notice.
