Another Reason to Hate Roses

I’m filling the hole in the blank wall with

deep red colored,

roses.

I place the last one in quickly,

But not before it slices open my thumb.

I should have took off those,

bloody thorns.

Collect the violent show of passion with care.

I rather stick to smoother,

confections.
