Screw this life
For no one cares
Whether I live
Or kill myself.
Under the mask
Is a face of fear
And one little girl
Trudged on alone
For she was unwanted
By all the rest
No one showed love
Nor even respect.
For it was her
Who lived alone
In her own little world
No one to bother her
Or show her they cared.
Crying out for help
That no one seemed to take.
Every night
Crying in her room
Bringing her shiny new razor
And sliding it across her skin
A red line formed
And for the first time in her life
She smiled
A genuine smile
That no body knew of
Soon her life
Would be cut short.
Every sad somber night
She looks to the moonlit sky
Praying to God
To take her life
And rid her of this pain
To show her what life
Could truly be like
If it was care-free
As she was told as a child
Could her life
For once be normal?
Could life be happy
Without a care in the world
Not the stress she would find
Not for the hope of death
To overcome her
For life to be normal
As it once was
While She was a young child
Not the adolescent
She had to become
The adult she transformed into.
For life had took her by a hook
And gave her responsibilities
She had to give into.
Life had changed
All she knew
And taught her to be
What they never thought she would be
Parents don't understand
Peers misunderstood
Friends never found out
Or so she hoped
Backstabbers hurt
Lies broke her down
Trusts broken and bent shape
This was the person
That care-free child became
In a world of hurt
A life of suffering
Tears shed
Anger shown
Happiness forgotten
What happened?
A bubbly child
Turn upside-down
Into an adult
At such a young age
Too young for responsibilities
She could never hold on to.
For each night she tried
To push down harder
To make that razor cut deeper
To end her life
And everything she knew
For she had given up
And never wanted to find peace
Find true love
Or what she hoped for
Dreams forgotten
And pushed aside
She didn't need those petty things
So many tears
Shed through the night
Under the moonlit sky
All she ever wanted was
Help!
From a friend
A foe
Family.
