what is that they all speak of,
this happiness?
i've never seen that joyous word
enter my vocabulary.
happiness is what they want
but can i give it to them?
they say they want to see
a smile on my face,
a grin in my eyes,
but can i give it to them?
my happiness is no longer here,
no longer a burden on my wings,
so broken and worn.
