"Mom, I'm gonna go for a walk." said Kami as she walked out of her room. Her jet-black hair in two pigtails and her My Chemical Romance sweatshirt on with faded blue jeans. Looking at her sleeping mother still as stone on the couch, Kami walked to the door and out of the house. Following the brick path her father made, Kami clicked on her ipod and listened to Nirvana. Gracefully crossing the road, Kami looked ahead to "her" graveyard. Since her father died. Kami went to the graveyard to think. She would oft come to write poetry or a story. Most of which were dark and had to do with a killing of some sort. Kami was known best at her school for a lot of her dark writings. She was often called a "freak". Coming upon the old cemetery, Kami turned down her ipod and went to go sit at her usual corner. Getting strange looks from the people in the cars, Kami ignored then and pressed on to reach her destination. Upon sitting down, she found an old piece of paper. Thinking nothing of it, Kami tossed it aside and sat down in her corner. Closing her eyes as she often did, Kami thought about her deadbeat dad and her younger sister who died last summer. She thought about her friends and loving boyfriend. Her mother was a drunk and hated her. Kami got up from her spot and started walking down the stone wall... but as she came up the big gaping hole in the middle with only a few trees and no grave stones, she saw a body. Not just any body... but the body of her boyfriend. He laid still his blood pooling around him. A bloody hole gaping from each leg, his brain oozing out from his head where another big slice was penetrated into his head. His stomach had two holes... one had the knife still in it. Tears were streaming down Kami's face and she stood still on the stonewall. Too scared to move and too scared to scream. She wondered if the killer was still near there and could see everything she was doing. Her eyes gazed from hole to hole on her boyfriend's body. Each and every cut intricately carved into his skin. Kami gently stepped off from the wall... carefully walking closer to her dead boyfriend, afraid if the killer may still be in the area. Every step could lead to her death too; as it had led to her boyfriend's. Upon coming closer to her dead lover's body, Kami mouthed his name "Toby..." and she saw a streak of water... tears had fallen from his beautiful open grayish eyes. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the horrifying sight. She stepped a little closer... scared yet confident all the same. She kneeled down and gently wiped the tears away from Toby's face, getting her jeans covered in his blood. Kami didn't care. Her lover was here, dead on the ground, in his own blood. And she care less about ruining her jeans or something as little as kneeling in his blood. Crying freely now, Kami brought Toby's head into her hands and gracefully kissing the stone cold lips of her once lover. Taking the knife out of Toby's stomach, she wiped the excess blood away from Toby's wound and then scraped the surface of her skin. Enough to just make her arm bleed. Feeling the warming sensation inside, she knew she could do it. She knew she could kill herself. What was there left of anyways? Her father died, her sister died. Her mother was a drunk, a whore. No one ever cared for her except Toby. And here he was dead in her arms. Her grades were already low, her poems and stories were her only life now. And even society had taken that away from her. Bringing the cold blade to her arm again, she cut deeper this time. It felt maddeningly wonderful. Her life in her hands for once. She could control it this time. Kissing Toby's cold blue lips once again, Kami plunged the knife into her heart and fell limply on top of Toby. Dying there in her lover's arms. Just the way she had wanted to. Her wish had come true.
The End
