No one seems to review much anymore
Even here at FictionPress dot com
Or that’s how it seems like to me
For some people (and me!) haven’t gotten feedback
For very very long!

And I’m speaking for all those writers out there
Who know how I feel
That the fact that reviews decreasing around here
Could very well be real!

Or it could just be me
And my frustration with this deal.

Now I’ll go onto a little other bit
That I find not a second’s waste of time
But just remember it’s a bit out of place
From this poem’s rhythm and rhyme:

Getting flamed for a story or poem
Isn’t all that bad
But it’s when someone doesn’t review at all
That really drives me mad!

Then after battling through writer’s block
And wrestling for hours with QuickEdit
It doesn’t make any sense to me
Why people sometimes don’t quite get it!

Call me ridiculous
Or full of self-pity
But I’m sure you know
That such things as this
Really can put you in a tizzy!

Now that that’s over with…

I don’t really like QuickEdit—it confuses my miniscule brain.
And that FictionPress dot com format
Is really hard to tame.

As you can see
Writing and posting a story
Is really quite insane.

So I’m sure we’ve been though this before
And you understand my pain
And overall I wouldn’t blame you
If you thought this poem was really kinda lame.

And any insult to those reviewers out there
Isn’t quite my aim
But this 0 feedback
Has been going on in chains!

And you know
That inspiration
Can be very hard
To gain?

And I know that a good writer
Will keep trying all the same
Because the road to fortune
Is really hard to obtain.

But just remember…

No one seems to review much anymore
Even here at Fictionpress dot com
Or that’s how it seems like to me
Because feedback for some of us
Has been zilch
For far far
Too long.
