Perfection

Vividly I remember my old school days
I remember hoping to catch one's gaze
Of the blue-eyed fox in a red velvet dress:
The embodiment of perfection at best

Triumphantly walking down in a straight line
Gliding to the front, the woman in her her prime
The golden circlet, glinting crimson light
Fortold the woman's plight, fortold events that night

The flash of a barrel, the sound of a roar
The maiden fell elegantly to the floor
The horrific screams and the confused faces
Scattered plates, tables, and chairs in all places

The killer was her younger sister, no lie
Before she was dragged away, I asked why
She just smiled back and let the answer unfold:
Perfect people cannot exist in this world
