Once again a poem of mine is slaughtered due to the format limitations fictionpress likes to impose. For the poems as it should be seen to go to (without the space): .

.Stop.

Swirling red hair streaking by
Tile of the dance floor reflects the gleam in my eye
Step step
Back back
pitter
patter
tap tap
Learning, laughing, living, loving
The moves are platonically enjoyable
Yet historically deplorable

The shy and introverted take one step at a time
Experience: awakening and sublime
Mocking echo spites novices
Stern spirits buck uncertainty
Small talk is absent with concentration
but smiles are aglow
The amount of fun I’m really having you’ll never know
Step step
Spin
Step
Bolder steps start to appear
As students lose their fear
And all previous paramount cares
evaporate
A window opens
Eternal youth flies in
When I see your optimistic grin
I hope this friendship never ends
Spin
Step
Tap Spin
Stop.
