A/N: I have no idea what the point of this is, but I totally felt like writing it. I hope you like it as much as the original Let’s Do It Like This. Please review, they make me feel warm and fuzzy. They also make me update.
Chapter 1: You’re Bi
“Who’s that?” Kayan asked his best friend Melodie. They were hanging with their normal large group of friends. More people were there than usual, because another little group had joined them. The entire group of people was known as ‘The Clique’ by anyone in it. Kayan motioned with his head toward a boy that belonged to the smaller group.
Melodie shrugged. “I think his name is James, or something. I’ve only talked to him once or twice. Heard a lot about him though. Bit of a mean one, apparently. Anger management. So totally not your type, sweetheart.” She examined her black painted nails.
“But he’s awful cute.” He gazed at James.
“Kayan, you’re such a queer.”
“Yeah, and so is he. Set off my Gaydar, that’s why I asked.”
“He set off your Gaydar? Are you insane?”
“Gaydar’s never wrong. He’s bisexual clear as day. He just might not know that yet.” Kayan folded his arms across his chest. “And I’m going to tell him that.”
Melodie’s jaw dropped and she brought her hand to her forehead. “No. Kayan. Seriously, do you have a death wish? He’s not gonna like this very much.”
Kayan shrugged, smiling. “So?” He flounced over to the group where James was.
“Hey, Kayan!” Most of the guys in the group greeted him. Kayan was well known in the school.
He giggled. “Hey, everybody.” He moved in front of James. “Uh, ya. You’re bi. Did you know?”
James eyebrows shot up. Everyone in the group laughed. “Someone’s got a glitch on their Gaydar!”
“I’m not gay.” James intoned in his deep voice.
Kayan giggled again. “Didn’t say you were. Said you were bi.” He looked at James’ face and decided that maybe Melodie was right. “Yeah, thought I’d tell you. Bye!!”
He scampered back over to his friend, who was weak with laughter. “I can’t believe you did that!” She laughed.
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
James waited for his friends outside the school. He didn’t really want to walk home with only his guide dog for company. Sadie nosed his hand. Someone was coming. He heard footsteps on the sidewalk, and muttering. It was that gay boy’s voice. Kayan, was that his name? James thought so. It sounded like the boy –Kayan, he corrected himself- was searching through his bag while walking. Not to smart, for such a ditzy blonde like him, in James’ opinion. To much multitasking.
Sure enough, it was only a minute or two until he heard Kayan take a spill on the concrete sidewalk. The boy whimpered, starting to sob a little. James felt a little sorry for him. He didn’t seem to be able to get up. After a moment of listening to him cry and discovering there was no one else to help him, James let Sadie lead him over.
“You ok?” He squatted next to Kayan, reaching out a hand.
Kayan sniffled. “I think I twisted my ankle. And think I scraped my leg up pretty bad, but I don’t wanna look at it because I really don’t like blood.” He grabbed James’ hand and moved it toward him. “I’m over here, by the way.”
“Oh, sorry. I’m blind, if you didn’t notice.” James blushed slightly. “Can you walk?”
Kayan shook his head before he remembered that James couldn’t see him. “No. And why are you helping me? I thought you didn’t like me.”
“I don’t not like you. I’m just kind of antisocial and don’t appreciate my sexuality being questioned in front of my friends. Does this hurt?” James pressed on his ankle slightly.
Kayan yelped. “Ouch! Yes! Does that mean you don’t mind it being questioned when you’re not around your friends?”
James chuckled. “Not quite so much. These are some pretty nasty scrapes. Where do you live?” He ran his hand up Kayan’s bare leg to check the damage.
“Fine then. You’re bi.” Kayan smiled at him. “I live at Sunshine Orphanage up on the west side.”
“Well then, you’ll have to give my dog directions. I’m gonna walk you home.” James slid a muscular arm around his back and pulled him to his feet. “C’mon. It’s not that far to walk, is it?”
“No. It’ll only take a minute or two. How do I give directions?”
“Just say right or left or to cross the street or whatever. She’ll understand you. If you don’t mind me asking, what happened to your parents?”
“I don’t really know. I just remember being on the streets alone, and then at the orphanage. Hey, puppy. Left.”
“Her name’s Sadie.”
“Oh, sorry Sadie. Do you have parents?”
“Yeah, but my dad doesn’t like me much. My brother is just about my favorite person. My mom’s ok. What’s the weirdest thing you do?”
“The weirdest? I donno. I like putting on nail polish just so I can pick it off. How about you? Cross here, Sadie.”
“I don’t do weird things.”
“Everyone does weird things. Sadie, left again.”
“I don’t. What kind of a question is that anyways?”
“I don’t know, you came up with it. Turn right, Sadie. It’s this house here.” Kayan opened the door. “Alison, I’m home!”
“Have a good day at school, Kayan? Who’s your friend?” The woman wrinkled her nose when she saw Sadie. “Does that dog have to be in here?”
“I can leave her outside. Sadie, sit.” James dropped the leash and Sadie sat on the stoop. “Kayan fell, so I’m trying to help him. Kayan, do you need help patching yourself up?”
“Yeah. The bathroom’s this way.”
When Kayan was sitting on the bathroom counter, James rummaged around for the bandages and antiseptic. “This is gonna sting.” James put some antiseptic on a cotton ball and pressed it on Kayan’s scrapes.
Kayan yelped again, a tear escaping from his eye. “Ouch! Don’t!”
“Sorry. I know it hurts.” James taped some gauze over the scrapes. “Why are your legs so smooth?”
“I shave them, what do you think?”
“I didn’t think guys shaved their legs.”
“I’m a gay guy. That doesn’t count.”
“Doesn’t it?” James gently wrapped a length of tensor bandage around Kayan’s ankle. “There. Is that better?”
Kayan nodded. “Everyone said you were mean. But you’re one of the nicest people I know.”
“Well, you’re worth being nice to.”
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
When James woke up, he was in a large double bed. The room smelled like sex. He rolled over, and discovered that Kayan was asleep next to him. He smiled, and ran a calloused thumb over the blonde’s soft cheekbone. Kayan opened his eyes slowly, smiling as he saw James.
“Hey beautiful.” James said. He stroked Kayan’s porcelain skin as the blonde kissed him lovingly.
The kiss lengthened and deepened, their tongues battling for dominance. James won easily, and Kayan submitted, nuzzling his hips against the older boy’s.
James sat bolt upright in his own bed, sweating. It had been a dream. Maybe Kayan was right. Maybe he was bi. Why else would he enjoy it so much? He got out of bed and made his way to the shower, wondering. At least it was Saturday. Then he remembered the plans The Clique had made for that night. They were all going to the beach after dark. He wondered if Kayan would be there.
OoOoOoOoOoOoO
After dusk, the beach was beautiful. Most of the guys were already in the water, but a few, like James and his friend Clayton, sat on the beach. Kayan and Melodie had also not yet entered the water. “Whutcha wearin’ under there?” Called a few of the guys in the water to Kayan. James gathered he had taken his shirt off, but not his pants.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” The blonde called back teasingly.
“Take it off!” Someone yelled from the water. James assumed Kayan then took his pants off, as he heard a chorus of wolf whistles, and then a splash as the giggling blonde jumped into the water.
“To bad you’re blind.” Clayton said. “Kayan in a thong is quite something to see. Next was a loud yell as Melodie joined him, presumably wearing only her bra and panties. “C’mon James, we’re missing the fun!” Clayton said. He stood up and took off his own outer layer before hurrying down to the water. Shrugging, James decided to join the party. He stripped down to his boxers, removed Sadie’s harness, and ran to the water as well.
When he got there, a game of ‘Steal Kayan’s Thong’ was in progress. Meaning that Kayan was frantically swimming around and yelping, while almost everyone else was swimming after him and trying to take off his thong. So frenzied was the blonde’s swimming that he didn’t see James, and bumped into him. Squealing, he turned around to face the mob coming after him, meaning his back was to James’ front.
“Save me, James!” He said dramatically, clinging to one of James’ muscular arms.
“Oh, don’t worry, I’ll protect you from the evil thong-stealers.” James wrapped the arm Kayan was clinging to around his chest, pulling him closer.
As Kayan treaded water, his thighs and behind rubbed against James’ groin. The older boy was horrified to discover that this was making him aroused. He was even more horrified when he figured out Kayan would very soon know about his little problem. Sure enough, Kayan giggled and turned around in James’ grip, smacking his shoulder. “James!” He said. James was sure he was smiling. “Bad boy!”
James blushed. “Sorry.” Kayan giggled again and swam away.
Later, when all but the most energetic were laying out on the beach, Kayan came and sat down on the towel next to James. “Ready to accept you’re bi yet?” He asked. “C’mon, we all know you are.”
James raised an eyebrow, unwilling to answer. He had been perfectly straight until Kayan came along. Never even considered that he might not be. Now he wasn’t sure. “Walk with me?” He asked, getting to his feet.
“Okay.” Kayan got up also.
“You’ll have to lead me though. Sadie’s still swimming.”
“I don’t mind.” Kayan hooked his arms through James’. They were both still in their underwear. “You have nice arms, did you know that? S’matter of fact, you have a nice chest to. Do you work out?”
James chuckled. “Yeah, I do. Were you born that skinny, or are you on one of the gross crash diets?”
“I think orphanage life did it to me. Not that I’m complaining. Half of the popular girls hate me because they’ll never be this thin. As long as we’re asking questions, I got one for you: Do you like me?”
They were a fair distance down the beach now, out of sight of the others. James smiled slightly. “Depends. Do you like me?”
Kayan giggled. “Yeah.”
“Good. ‘Cause I like you to.” James kissed him, full on the lips. It was just like the kiss in his dream.
A few moments later, they walked back to the beach, hand in hand. Everyone looked up. “The queer and the bad boy. Who’d have thought?” Someone said. It might have been Melodie.
It was definitely Melodie who spoke next, however. “So, are you two an item?”
Before either could answer, Kayan went on his tiptoes and kissed James on the cheek. James blushed slightly. “I guess so.”
