Lingering:

Softly breathing

Slowly beating

The ache numb in my chest

The words said

Dreams shattered

Torn souls

Tattered and ragged

I will move on

For if I don't

Tattered will soon become no more

It seems as though all is gone

If I am still

I can hear the passing

The souls still

Lingering

Like the perfume of the rain
