Ah, geez…This is quite an old poem. My apologies if it sounds a bit juvenile.

Forbidden Affair”

I’ve given up, I’ve given in,

It doesn’t feel right, it’s a sin.

I gave you hugs, showered you with kisses,

I think it’s love, but “It’s not,” my conscience hisses.

(-----)

I’m infatuated by you, there’s nothing wrong with that,

I think about you no matter where I’m at.

You made me feel alive, you made me feel complete,

I dream of you, with each of my heart’s pulsing beats.

(-----)

Yet our dream is forbidden,

All our feelings lay hidden.

I want to believe it’s love, I’m searching for a sign,

But there’s doubt I can’t erase, because your blood runs in mine.
