The times I fall the hardest
are the times I fall for you
Perhaps I need extra support
Something else to hold onto

Can't I simply let life be?
Confusing, remarkable things get in the way
Soon I find myself drifting, floating away
Into a deep yet restless sleep

The world isn't all that it seems, so I've found
I'm lucky if my feet ever leave the cold ground
The beauty of it stands out like a flower in the rain
Something so delightful, perpetual, efflorescent...
While I feel so meek, with only myself to blame

But somehow, I've come to the conclusion
That finding oneself is a part of growing older
It's okay to have doubts and change beliefs
I'm not required to be certain of life as it's getting colder
The world is a broken, shattered place that only keeps us for so long

In the meantime, I'll be content with a hidden future
