Flee

By Kirsten Nussey

When you're on your own and everythings gone wrong
You hide up in the corner, wishing it was gone
You have no one to turn to, can you call that fair?
Would he even notice, if you were not there?

Now just wishing you could go back, face up to your fears
Can anybody blame you as you struggle to fight back tears
Everyone thinks they know you, think they understand your pain
You've nothing left to lose and yet nothing left to gain

You step into the dark, you feel the rush of air
yet all you feel is calmness, as the water draws in near
All you hear is silence, now you feel the chill
Everything around you plain and simple still

You see the end draw closer right from where you lay
See the figure running but wish he'd go away
The feeling in your chest as life begins to fade
Wanting to come back you see the mistake you've made...
