He abhors
The smell of fresh ink
That reminds him of the girl
Who's guessed his secrets
And written them all down.
The girl who's spent four years
Studying him
With an intensity
He's never given anything.
The girl who
May or may not
Have offered him her heart,
Which he may or may not have taken
And she may or may not be waiting
For him to give it back.
