The Dragon

The dragon swallows the earth,

Tramples it under giant feet

Killing those who wish for retreat

Killing those aware of defeat

Humans howling out for mercy

The monster sets all aflame

Unmoved by their startling pain

As if it were a kind of cruel game

The world wiped out to nothing

Only the dragon survived

He fell on the ruins, and cried

To find an end to his playful ride.
