Stalemate to date
Rex:
What has become of the tradition
of trusting,
and nobody crying
for fear of rusting
(?)
The sky's flat and unfocused,
not a King in sight.
No justice in just
politically fed and driven
one-person armies
that represent (but don't
tune in).
Treason I hear myself say
while I'm being written involuntarily
by my dangerous direction.
Strange quality in the throne
that reigns during
and after
the confidential grinding
split among the pawns
(the underclass
and those that will not
climb any further.)
Parliament concept:
The back of the board
houses the most dangerous
pieces,
but notice how the
most eager and
(influential)
important players
crowd the front of
the House.

AN: Inspired by the phrase "At the end of the game the pawn and the King share the same box." No idea who thought that one up. I think this might need beta'ing but I really can't find the time/a person who wants to. Comments appreciated!
