a death that brought
questions to mind
the realization that any day could be the
time
for anyone of us to die
any moment the world could take
away
exactly what it gave
and as i hold on to my tears
not
sure how to face these broken fears
any moment could be the
last
taken from the present to the past
forgotten and left
behind
but this one burns deep in my mind.
