Prologue
There was a slight tapping at the door and she knew he had arrived. She placed a frock in her bag and a bodice or two among the other dresses and closed the bag. She went over to the window for he seemed to be becoming impatient. She remembered back to the day of their first meeting with each other.
Her thoughts however were interrupted by the window opening and his handsome voice flowing into the room.
“Dearest Emily, please hurry, there is a light on in the third floor and I fear someone is to find us here like this. What should we do dearest lady?”
Oh his voice, how it entranced her.
“Dear William, I think we should wait until the light goes out. It may just be Nanny doing her rounds.” Emily said.
William was her love. He was her whole life. He was a part of her. Was it their fault their fathers hated each other? All of the sudden he climbed into her room and lifted her off the ground with his strong arms. He spun her around in the air and then brought her toward him and kissed her ever so softly.
“Oh William, I love you. This whole thing is worth dying for –so to say.” Emily whispered.
“Emily, dear, why would you die for this?” William whispered back.
“I would die so that my soul could forever be by your side no matter what.” Emily said.
She leaned forward and hugged him.
“I love you too my dearest Emily, but I will not let you die for Me.” he said.
