More Than Darkness

She would find it,

Walking through the bookstore

On her way to the Fantasy section.

The old-fashioned silver print

Along the spine, catching her eye.

And somewhere between

Faeries and sorcerers,

She opens it

And reads.

She sees that magic can

Be found beyond fantasy novels,

Greek mythology and Camelot.

And she'll appreciate

My words of other worlds.

And see, for once, there's more to poetry

Than darkness.
