hands. faint rosin-smudges carefully tracing bone, emphasized
accentuated by crushed-flower yellow, being swallowed by each ridge
in your palms, calluses on your fingertips, an unlikely virtuoso

forearms. marred by scars red, blue veins violent
pianokey solid tinged with gracelessness (rarely off-key
and theoretically difficultimpossible(, theoretically selfish-

shoulders. blues-thick melancholy embodied personified,
callreturn; without return guitar strings trembling and a note breaking down
into sputters of a song, half-completed music sheets

chest. the wall of troy rebuilt and destroyed, layers of silver-wire
sculpture; slivers of solidified vibrato, a chickenwire mesh of tremble&gloss,
diaphragm diagrammed by notes, a living cello echoing-empty

throat. trachea-ridges carving shadows into tanned skin, cartilage
rings against rings vibrating hard&pleading, raw laughter
capturing a voice, soundpoetry in your crackedhollow ribs

mouth. realcherry-red stained: dark-flamboyant, arrogant&humble-
jazzseductive, taunt strings & saxharsh notes
frozen into caughtwater-words, a slow melody harmonyless

eyes. shrouded stars set in bone, smog-drenched suns
a haze of inherited&inhibited petal-grace (swirled together a medley
of tangible manifest-thought&uncaptured-motion)

hair. quill-woven spidersilk and seaweed dark-thick, a sea
of rotted grain under a watered-down sky rich&fragile-dry, a viola
together-alternatingly, glass-shattering&dying

cheeks. rigid sorrow-carvedcrags, hallowing and bones set high
a musicmosaic face; too expressive but still vehement
behemoth all stickshadows and violin, you’re classically,

practically gorgeous. to you my new song of songs: i will
outline every piece of you until you are nothing but simple language,
until i can memorize your body through my lips.
