Farewell
Like a ship sailing away
You left that day
Alone I was
Lost and sad
I miss you here
So close and near
Now you're gone
And I have no laughter
You brightened my day
With a smile and a wave
Now that you're gone
Life has lost its shine
You are loved by all
And missed by all
Your departure has rent
My heart in two
--
Yes, this poem has a meaning to it. I lost someone very dear to me recently, and this is my way of telling him that I will miss him.
