MAZE

by Lost Dream

-

you lock me away to save me

but you don’t know half of it

and I wouldn’t tell you a word

while you look around for danger

it’s already here, seducing me

-

you leave me alone to guard me

switch off the light to catch a thief

but one’s already here, inside with me

and the darkness creeps closer silently

embracing me while you look away

-

you close the door to hide me

lay traps to catch all the pain

but you don’t seem to realize

that I am caught in the web myself

I’m like the fly - and you are the spider
