Her frown was apparent

throughout the court,

throughout the state.

It was so emphatic,

it rattled my dinner plate.

We gazed about, befuddled

lost at what to do

But before we could act

she stood and left the room.

And the silence after that

brought no sigh of relief

The discomfort we felt

was worse than our confusion brief

For her pungent expression

is enough to baffle any man

But what makes the lady so

one could never understand.
