"What Did I Do This Time?"

"You sick bastard."

Luce groaned and turned over. Staring at his sister in an attempt to figure out what he had done. Failing at this he groaned out "what did I do this time?" as his blue hair fell over his eyes concealing the colour of them.

His sister growled, her orange eyes so like his blazing with fury, leaping for him. Before he could roll off the bed she had landed on top of him and was reaching for his neck. In an attempt to save his life he grabbed her wrists and rolled over pinning her to his bed.

"Now we have been through this before little sis you can't overpower me. Just tell me what I did and then I can fix it or defend myself that I didn't do it, which I think is the case 'cause I have no memory of it. But then last night I was drunk."

His sister growled then gave up muttering "you ran over Asrelle you bastard."

Luce swore leaping up off his sister and racing out the door grabbing his pants and shouting back as he turned into the hall "'t'wasnt me I didn't drive home last night Angel did."

His sister growled not believing him and jumped off the bed racing after him.

Luce had reached the stairs and was sliding down the barrister by the time she got out the door. As he reached the bottom of the stairs she reached the top, so she jumped down and landed neatly next to him. He glanced her way and continued to run out the door.

Once out the door he raced to where he assumed Angel had parked his car the night before when they had come home. He had been so drunk he was passed out by the time they had reached the house and hadn't known what had happened.

As he reached the area he noted that everyone was there, slowly he crouched down staring at the small animal under the tyre of his car. Luce visibly flinched. Asrelle was the guardian animal linked to him from the other planes.

Luce wondered how Angel had managed to run over the creature so he glared around trying to pinpoint where the boy was, upon seeing him with Lefanelle Luce growled and gestured to the animal.

Angel hung his head and stepped over whispering "I didn't know I swear Luce."

Luce shook his head and Angel kneeled by him concentrating his energies on the car, the car lifted and Angel quickly grabbed Asrelle running his had over the creature's body.

On a quick examination she was fine and was going to be all right, Luce sighed then turned to Angel a frown on his face, "remind me not to let you drive again." Then he stood and turned to go back into the house. As he brushed past his sister she tried to grab him but without warning he vanished from sight to reappear by the door of the house.

He walked through the door and towards the grand staircase he had hardly noticed in his haste to get to Asrelle. He sighed and sprinted up them and back to his room. Gently he lat Asrelle on his bed and turned to his computer turning it on with a thought.

He sighed again and sat at the computer staring at the screen where the calculation he had been working on for the last week had appeared. It had seemed impossible to the others but if he was right the calculations he was working on would complete a machine that would make it easier to find the others of their kind before they got into too much trouble and the guardians had to destroy them.

It was a fact of life among his kind that if need be the guardians would destroy those they were set to protect to protect them.

They were few enough without being destroyed because of a lack of information.

Yet he still couldn't work out the last part of these calculations. They had had him stumped for the last three days. He sighed turning to Asrelle.

"You know I know your awake, I'm sorry Angel ran over you if I had known you wouldn't have spent the night under that tyre you know that already."

"Why'd you even let him drive Luce?"

"Didn't have much choice I had passed out and before you say I drank to much it was move getting knocked in the head by Angels elbow."

"Sure. Anyway try a three instead of a seven in that third line from the bottom it might work."

Luce frowned and did as she said. As the number was changed a light flashed on the screen and the code was replaced with a map of the earth plains.

Luce stared at the screen unwilling to believe it. He shrugged and typed in the sequence that would show people with similar power structures as his, the screen flashed again and a number of dots appeared in the house and grounds around there were five dots the one in his room being the brightest. "So it does work, well at least we can gauge power levels and structures easier now." Luce grinned and turned around to see his sister there glaring at him.

Luce shrugged saving his progress on the computer and turning it off without turning around. "I already told you Angel was driving and it's not my fault he was doing that either, I would never harm Asrelle even by accident and you know that."

She nodded leaving the room. Luce turned his orange eyes to Asrelle and shrugged turning back to the computer and his workings.

Hours later he turned at a nose near his door. Angel smiled meekly at him walking over to the bed and dumping Lefanelle next to Asrelle before coming over and sliding his arms around Luces waist. "I'm sorry, but I must say last night was fun." He murmured in luces ear before nuzzling his neck.

"It's alright little one; I probably shouldn't have ran into your elbow like that." Both boys grinned at this knowing it wasn't the truth of the matter.

"So your sister says you got it working is that right."

"Yes with many thanks to Asrelle. What of the projects you've been hiding from me?"

"None are anywhere near finished." Angel sighed, "I do sometimes wonder why it's our kind making all this stuff so they can be comfortable."

Luce sighed brushing the boys Pink hair out of his lovely green eyes. "Because we have a gift they can't yet imagine properly."

Angel muttered "more like a curse." And Luce sighed kissing the boys forehead.

"Well considering how long I have been sitting in this damn room wanna go outside and have a swim?"

Both boys stood and walked out the door, as it closed Asrelle and Lefanelle followed while the computer saved its programs and turned itself off.

I wrote this some time ago and quite enjoyed doing it. Some things though, there aren't going to be more on this potline but I may use the characters and ideas in another bigger story later. I have had question about what Asrelle actually is, she is a creature. I can't remember but I think I have a description of her.

Basically she is joined to Luce it's slightly complicated but she protects him, stops his powers from destroying him actually. If this still doesn't make sense to you them uhm send me an e-mail and I'll try to explain.

Well I guess that is it for now.
