The girl took a deep cleansing breath, causing some of the stones on her body to shift slightly. At the top of her head and rest on the floor was a piece of amethyst. On her forehead rested a piece of turquoise, on her throat a lapis lazuli, on her chest a jade, the base of her sternum an amber, on her stomach a carnelian, and on her groin a garnet.
The girl took another deep cleansing breath and the stones again shifted. Because her eyes were closed she didn't see her sister coming into the room. The sister silently watched the girl a moment before tip toeing over to the bed.
"I felt that," Said the girl on the floor.
Her sister remained quiet as she picked up the book on the bed and read the contents of the page to herself before saying, "You seem to be unbalanced. According to my charts, you have problems following your gut instinct, and your communication skills need work. On the other hand your spiritual sight is good, and you have no troubles in the department of physical pleasures."
The green stone on the girl's throat slipped off, and the yellow one on her sternum was slipping. She pursed her lips at the mention of the red stone. "Diane, do you have a purpose here besides to annoy me?"
Her sister sat up tall and crossed her legs. Pulling a blanket around herself for a cloak with hood she said in a mournful voice, "Kate, your soul is unbalanced. The problem needs to be corrected. While the hematite keeps you polarized and within your physical form, you need to speak what troubles your heart. Only then can the unbalance be balanced again."
Kate snorted causing the indigo stone on her forehead to slip off. It bounced on the floor by her ear. "So you read one page of my book and you suddenly think you're my spiritual guide?"
"Well no not one page. I've read the whole thing twice by sneaking into your room when you aren't here and pulling it out from under your bed. Why are you hiding the book?" Diane asked removing the blanket from around her.
"You've what?" Demanded Kate tersely.
"Read it twice. From your book mark you haven't even read it once. I'm
more balanced than you having absorbed the way to make my soul equal in
all parts," Diane said in a matter-of-fact-voice.
She yelped and ran for the door as Kate started throwing the colored stones at her.
