breaking upon the ground
filled to the brim
and scattering the pieces
never to be found
leaving me lost
and i'm thinking
why did i put
it all in one place
so breakable
so delicate
and i bend down
to pick up the pieces
but i can't
because they are gone
and hidden beneath
the shadow of darkness
as it approaches
and i'm screaming
so loud
so annoyingly
but it swallows me
