EXT. CEMETERY GATES. AFTERNOON.

GUY is walking down the sidewalk, when he comes up to the cemetery gates. He sees the sign labelled ‘Short-Cut’ on the gates, so he decides to cut through the graveyard. He walks into the graveyard and goes down a path, looking around himself curiously. He looks down and notices a small shine on the ground.

GUY

Bending down to see what it is.

What’s this?

2.

Standing back up, GUY realizes what he’s got is a locket. He opens up the locket and sees a picture of a girl inside. Looking around to see if anybody else is there and wondering if anybody is looking for the jewellery, he doesn’t see anybody and takes the picture out, discarding it. He pockets the locket and continues on.

EXT. CEMETERY. EVENING

GUY is wandering around, looking about himself and scratching his head. He comes to the realization he is lost, and becomes scared as he realizes that it is getting dark. He begins to see things as he’s walking; shadows, people, strange lights, and he hears somebody following him. However, when he goes to investigate anything, it’s not there for him to find.

GUY

Looking around himself and timidly calling out.

Hello? Anybody?

Hearing no response, he turns around and comes face to face with a girl. He is relieved to see somebody else.

GUY

Holy crap, you scared me! Still, it’s nice to know not everybody here is dead! Er, can you tell me how to get out?

GIRL

She stares at him silently.

GUY
Excuse me? Hello? Anybody home…?

He grimaces, and it is apparent he is thinking hard.

Dissolve

Dissolve to a picture of the girl from the locket.

GUY

He realizes it’s the girl from the photo he took out of the locket.

Oh, hey! You’re that chick! Hey, I found you’re necklace thing. Uh, sorry about the picture; the wind kind of…blew it away when I…opened it up…and…Here!

3.

GUY offerss GIRL the locket, but she merely stares at him. Confused, GUY waves it around in her face, and yet she does not respond, save to glare at him. He nervously backs away.

GUY

Edging away from GIRL.

Gee, I didn’t…mean to piss you off, eh…

GIRL

Begins to step towards him with her hand outstretched, though she is not going for the locket.

GUY takes off, startled, and runs deeper into the cemetery. Everywhere he looks, he cans see faint shadows of what he perceives to be people, or strange lights, or GIRL. He gets more lost, and at one point he trips over a tombstone and rolls down a hill, coming to a stop by a mausoleum.

EXT. CEMETARY MAUSOLEUM. EVENING.

GUY

Getting up and brushing himself off, he grumbles.

Tch, this was a bad idea. I should have just gone the normal way. S’like in some stupid camp-fire scary story…

He looks up and does a double-take as he comes face to face with GIRL. He takes off at a run again.

EXT. CEMETARY. EVENING

After having run around for a while, GUY finally sees the cemetery gates. Feeling safer now that an exit is in sight, he slows down and, laughing victoriously, looks at the locket still clutched tightly in his hand.

GUY

All this for a stupid little thing like you.

GUY continues walking towards the gate, only to stop as he hears something behind him. He pauses to think whether or not he should turn around. Figuring it’s nothing, he turns around to confirm his thoughts and sees nothing. He turns back around, and is once again face-to-face with GIRL.

GUY
Startled, he backs up.

Jeez, take the freakin’ locket, I don’t want it! I don’t want it anymore, here!

4.

He, once again, unsuccessfully offers GIRL the locket. When she doesn’t take it, he throws it somewhere off to the side and runs off. However, before he gets very far, he looks behind him and sees GIRL isn’t there again. When he looks forward, he screeches to a halt because GIRL is right in front of him. With a heave, he passes out from fright.

Pan up to sky and Fade-out.
