San Rafael is where I live. This is it. Swingy, free-flowing.

San Rafael or The Product

1/16/06

Gimme a cab

Or a new pair of shoes

It’s too long I’ve been dancin’ these ol’ Doomsday Blues

Now I’m flyin’ away

Like a bat outta hell

You see I got to got to get away from San Rafael

San Rafael

Where we turn water to wine

We don’t do it here but the imports are fine

The fog’s just rolled in

Better get in line

We’re all a-waitin’ for the day the sun will shine

There’s a man on the corner

Talkin’ to ghosts

Hopin’ for a quarter or a dollar at most

There’s a man down the street

Doin’ pretty well

He’s got a mansion and a four car garage and a jaguar and a plasma TV with surround sound and twenty different pairs of shoes

And he only lives part time here in San Rafael

San Rafael

The summer weather is nice

It never snows in winter but it’s cold as ice

My roof is a-leakin’

I don’t have to tell you twice

We got flies n’ rats n’ awful wiring but we ain’t got mice

Well I guess it’s not perfect

But this city’s my home

The only blessed one that I ever have known

I know the old lady with her roses

And how Wildcare’s so smelly

And I’m friendly with the people over at Belli Delli

San Rafael

Where there’s nothing to do

But I’m sure glad I live here and I’m glad you do too

The sky’s gone all cloudy

But the day’s not half done

Let’s all go down to the arcade and we’ll have us some fun

Hello, my friend

I hope you’re all right

I’m doin’ pretty good (SO DID YOUR MOM LAST NIGHT!)

So I’m pretty tame

My report card was good

But I’d do something crazy if I only could

San Rafael

Where the trees are green

The sky’s the best blue that you ever have seen

And on those Thursday nights

You know what we do?

We go downtown and we howl,

howl,

howl,

at the mooOOOON!
