This deep-seated anger cannot be called hatred;
That would be doing it injustice.
You make a mockery of me,
and so you have planted the seed of contempt.
Enmity, Animosity, Wrath…
Call him what you like,
but this dark stranger is seducing me.
Your laughter resounds in my head,
vexes me day and night.
I will be plagued with resentment long after you are gone.
No amount of time can satiate this hostility.
Your motivation is frivolous,
the damage, irrevocable.
I soar on black wings to the wretched depths of anguish.
As you hide behind that naïve guise
I find my abhorrence of you is my only comfort.
The silent confrontation between us is a double-edged sword.
You grab the hilt and plunge it into my heart.
Slowly, I bleed to death.
As our eyes meet the bile rises in the back of my throat.
Robbed of all integrity and every virtue I face you.
My blood is boiling even now.
Why have you fallen to your knees?
I watch you shed bitter tears of remorse and I smile.
I smile as I always do.
No matter how you strike at me I will always smile.
Pull the blade from the wound, irascible fool.
It is futile;
Time negates the past for no man.
