Girl in the mirror

As I stare at myself in the glassy mirror

My scarred, spent, world worn face looks back at me sadly

The sadness and hardships are clearer and clearer

The confusing world is forced against me gladly

The reflection tells my painful, gloomy story

My tear stained eyes stare back at me, looking for life

The mirror is me, saying a silent, crazed plea

Not to feel the shining, deadly blade of the knife

Heart break, betrayal, Murder and insane power

I have felt it, created it, known it, feared it.

My plight grows worst by the dreaded, welcomed hour

When my time to leave comes, I will gladly submit

Death is a foe that most fear as it comes nearer

Yet it is a friend to the girl in the mirror
