Regret

At points in our lives,

We all regret things.

Sometimes our regrets,

We can forgive ourselves for

Other times we can't.

But what do you do,

When you regret doing the right thing?

So says other,

But if I did the right thing

Why do I regret doing it so much?

I did what my king said to do

And now I'm hurting for it

I'm being taken over

Debating on what to do

I need to talk

And explain

But I can't seem to find the right words

I don't know if I should apologize

For doing what I was told

Or tell the other person to just shut up.

I did what I was told

It took me 6 weeks to gain the strength to do it.

I now realize

That I didn't need strength to do it

But to cope with it

I don't know what I am supposed to do now.

One of lives hardest things

We act

We recap

And then we regret.
