Cant say it doesn’t hurt

In this world where its fight or fall

And everybody wants it all

I ask for nothing more than simple things

And only one un-simplistic need

More and more I wait and hope

That maybe today is it

But I know its not

So I continue to build up for my next shot

I’m unsure to call it love

Because it feels so unfamiliar

Something about the pain draws me back

To the point I feel bruised completely black

Ignoring the wounds I try again

To show you the feelings that I restrain

I try to disown the past

Besides the fact it is always there

I find no other way to express my mind

So I write it out in any un-flowing rhyme

One part of me says to let you go your own way

Yet the other says that by you I should stay

Once more I run out of things I need to say
