Crawling
By: Bleached Roses

Note: Even the wounded will heal eventually..though scars will always remain

Before him she fell at the alter with broken wings, torn&tattered with feathers askew. She clawed at his feet&wept behind closed eyelids :: still her misery seeped through in crystallization upon those cheeks - pearl drop jewels, so beautiful. She saw the flash of teeth from his lips, a promise of love or another tug on her conscience, she would never know. Sunlight crawled past stained(with blood)-glass windows&shone upon her being. Her smile, it lit the sky, like the stars they once counted nightafternight in youthful bliss. Haze filtered from bleached irises, the pools from which agony materialized, as liquid evaporated to the heavens from which they fell.

As quickly as the clouds parted::
the moon would eclipse the sun...
(( in darkness, he came...&...in darkness, he would depart ))

W h y ? she wondered in untold prayer, the question about her devotion to him - the one who thrusted her past the gates of Heaven to the filthy earth below. His memory was her stalker, a predator to feast upon her broken shell like vultures to death.

Don't be mistaken, Love:: she may be bruised&battered, unable to walk..but she is crawling...and crawling forward.

Hearts fall from their binds &--
s h a t t e r like chandeliers..
but darling, I have wings..
you may have broken them, but even the wounded can heal
I will f l y back to Heaven..
even if I spend a lifetime climbing the Milky Way for lift..
