Strings of Life
Strings of Life
Intertwined with the
shards of death
One nothing without the
other
Yet only one can we
grasp at once
The smooth silky touch
of the Strings of Life
The first thing we
embrace as we enter our world
We hold it to our
breast
For it comforts us and
gives us Life
Older we grow and
stronger the Strings get
Soon combined with
another’s Strings
Each person’s Strings
strengthening the others
Binding cords that
everlast
Then the Angel of Death
appears
To reap the souls that
past their time
With a mighty scythe to
break the bonds
Split the cords, sever
the Strings of Life
The Strings
disintegrate into the shards of death
Emptyness engulfs the
other
All that’s left
behind are memories
And the shards that
were once Strings.
