I can see the crimson blood dripping from your damaged skin. Now we both know you're not invincible.
Dark eyes watched her fragile body lay lifeless on the floor. They both knew her end was coming. The indestructible savior was losing a simple battle of life or death. No longer did there exist something to fight for. This was the end. The end of her life, as well as the end of her own personal Hell. And, although her blood flowed across the floor into the cracks of the hardwood, she smiled.
You made me believe in a world I could never have. And through all the lies, you still expect me to forgive you.
"You know, I thought dying would be a lot more scary than this. It's actually kind of nice..." Even in the worst of situations, she managed to show a bright smile. "The pain's drifting away and pretty soon, my breathing will just stop. So calm and simple." There was a pause. She sought to regain her breath and composure. "So peaceful."
I'm screaming my hate for you to the heavens. But, just like you, they won't listen to my feelings.
The figure stood above her unmoved. She knew her words would do no good. It was too late. Keeping the smile on her face, she spoke once more. "I know you hate me. It's not hard to see. That's why I deserve this. And that's why I apologize, and why I forgive you for whatever you're about to do."
Be gone, you big liar. You're dead, so leave me alone.
The stained silver blade plummeted back into her skin. One last gasp escaped her lips before all consciousness left her. The dark figure, a woman younger than her, retrieved the bloody dagger.
You were everything but who I wanted you to be. You never took the role of the mother I needed you to be.
