Hold Me Now

Stay here and hold me,

Until the morning sun,

Breaks over the horizon,

Our bodies entangled,

Our hearts beat as one,

Never have I loved,

With so much passion,

So much vulnerability,

Your breath,

Hot against my skin,

Quiets my nerves,

And deepens my appreciation,

Of life,

Protected,

In the strength of your arms,

I feel free to dream,

Hold me now,

Our time grows shorter,

As I grow ever fonder,

I want you,

I need you,

My lifeblood,

My founding source,

Hold me now.
