This Blue Expanse
I saw sky
And somewhere in this grey city
I lost it.
Letting go, I flew away
And really saw the world.
As sharp steel towers
Gave way to green, grassy plains
An the smog blew from my lungs
And I sped through clear blue skies.
I have escaped,
I have gone free.
Now I'm flying
And I could soar forever.
