"ARRRRRG! ZEUSSS!"
Ares quickly walked across the lush, green lawn at the bottom of Mount Olympus, his tunic smeared with the daily dose of human blood. His familiar silver sword hung from his hand loosely, and small drops of blood dripped to the ground, leaving behind a long trail of red. Even his face looked red with anger. He childishly stomped loudly, and his fists clenched harder.
"ZEUS, YOU BETTER LISTEN TO ME! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!" Ares voice roared, and he reached a large stone temple. Without bothering to knock, he barged in and started shouting again.
"ZEUS, GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!" Ares raised his fist in the air, as if to warn Zeus. He slowly looked around, and his face became angrier. Nobody was there. The room was full of large stone pillars, and suddenly a blast of wind came blowing in from behind Ares. He spun around, and who came in from the open door was a innocent looking Zeus. He gave Ares a confused look, and Ares narrowed his eyes, crossing his arms.
"Ares?" Zeus said with a questioning voice. He closed the stone door behind him and walked up towards Ares.
"Is something wrong?" Zeus kept on walking past Ares and sat down on his throne. Ares' eyes followed the God and as soon as he had sat down, Ares threw his arms up in the air with a hopeless shout.
"IF HEPHAESTUS WASN'T IMMORTAL, I WOULD SLICE HIS HIDEOUS HEAD OFF AND DELIVER IT TO YOU PERSONALY, LEAVING IT OUTSIDE OF YOUR TEMPLE FOR YOU TO FIND EARLY THE NEXT MORNING!" Ares screamed. Zeus sighed, looking at his son with a look of annoyance. Hadn't Ares had these out bursts too many times before? He should by now know that Zeus wouldn't put up with them anymore. He leaned over onto his side, resting his head on his hand.
"Ares, this is your brother you are talking about. For what has he done to upset you?" Zeus said calmly. Ares left out another loud shout and started pacing back and forth.
"WHAT HAS HE DONE? FATHER, WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT? MUST I LIST THOSE THINGS AGAIN?" Ares asked angrily. Zeus sighed and began to rub his forehead.
"Ares, I know your brother has upset you many times, but can't you at least move on and leave those things in the past? And please stop the shouting." Zeus said in a low voice. Ares growled and began to pace faster.
"Hephaestus is the most horrid God in all of Mount Olympus. Why is he even considered a God? His lame leg won't do him any good." Ares said bitterly. "Why does he even have the privilege to be married to the beautiful Aphrodite? She's mine! You can tell that she would rather live her life with a mortal that betrayed her beauty than with him! And we all know how much Aphrodite dispises non-worshiping mortals. LOOK AT THE FACTS ZEUS!" Ares stopped his pacing in front of Zeus and gave him a bitter glare, his eyebrows raised waiting for an answer.
Zeus stood up and walked over to his son. He gently placed a calming hand on Ares' shoulder. He began to speak slowly and looked into Ares' eyes seriously.
"Ares, you should be more respectful of the Gods around you. Your anger shouldn't be taken out on your brother, and I advise you to find another way to release your anger in a less...uh, well, violent way. And that, my son, will be a challege I hope you can suceed." Zeus gave a final stern look at Ares, and quickly left the temple, his long brown hair and beard whipping from the cool breeve that flew around him. Ares stood watching his father, and for once, not a speck of anger was on his face. No, not anger, but sweet, sweet revenge. Ares flashed a rare grin and followed his father out the door, slamming it hard behind him.
