I don't know how many people on here have ever watched the play Seussical the Musical but this story's pretty much based on the song "Solla Sollew." It's an amazing song and if you haven't heard it you NEED to. Anyways that's the title haha. I don't know exactly what else to say lol so please R & R!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Seussical the Musical or the song "Solla Sollew." I DO own all original characters created by mwah.

ENJOY!

There’s a faraway land

So the stories all tell

Somewhere beyond the horizon.

If we can find it

Then all will be well.

Troubles there are few.

Someday, we’ll go to…

Solla sollew

Solla sollew

Solla sollew

Solla sollew

They say breezes are warm there

And people are kind.

Maybe it’s something like heaven.

I close my eyes

And I see in my mind

Skies of bluest blue

Solla sollew

I’ve had so much trouble

Finding my way there.

When I get close,

It disappears.

If we can get there,

We’re gonna stay there

If it takes us miles,

It it takes us years.

High on a mountain

Or lost on the sea,

Sooner or later, I’ll find it.

I have a picture

Of how it will be

On the day I do

Troubles will be through

And I’ll be home with you.

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

Solla Sollew

I’ll be home…

With you.

Solla Sollew.

Ch. 1-

“Let’s go get something to eat, OK?” My mother looked at me, tears in her blue eyes.

“Alright…” I said slowly. I stood from my chair in the waiting room. I didn’t even know why we were still here, we’d heard the news hours ago. We walked to the hospital cafeteria and got something to eat. I stirred the gross-looking mac ‘n’ cheese with my fork. It didn’t look very appetizing, plus I wasn’t hungry. You’d probably think I would’ve since I hadn’t eaten all day.

I remember the crash so well, even though it was 2 weeks ago. I remember the way Daddy was before he died, Cole too. But Cole more, since we were best friends. Since before he was born. Well alright I was only ten months when he was born, but so what?

Cole was smart, not as smart as me. Dylan would’ve been too, if he hadn’t died.

Maybe I should start from the beginning, I’m probably confusing you.

I’m the oldest in our family, well the oldest child. I was ten months exact when Cole and Dylan were born. I was born on November 10th. They were born on September 10th the next year. It’s funny how when you’re a baby you only remember certain things, or nothing at all. But I’ll never forget their faces, the first time I saw them. Daddy was holding me up to see in the little window. And he said,

“Look, Ada, those are your brothers.” I remember that moment so clearly.

Dylan died three weeks later. He had heart problems apparently. Mom and Dad never told me anything more, they don’t like to talk about it. We buried him in the backyard. There’s a little headstone where his head is. It says,

“We miss you, Dyl. Hope you’re in Solla Sollew.” Solla sollew is a place Mom used to tell us about. All the time. She still does. It’s supposed to be really beautiful and stuff. Mom claims Cole’s there now too, and Daddy.

After Dylan, Mom and Dad didn’t want any more kids. I guess they were afraid they’d end up like Dyl. So it was just me, Cole, Mom, and Dad.

Cole was always a grade younger than me. That’s only because he was 4 when school started. I’d always hoped we’d be in the same class, but we never were. Like I said, Cole was smart. So I don’t understand why he didn’t wear his seatbelt that night. Maybe he hadn’t been thinking.

Either way, he hadn’t. And he died this morning.

“Finished?” Mom asked me. I looked up at her and nodded.

“Yeah.” I said even though I hadn’t eaten at all.

She nodded, Mom always understood. Someway. We got up and walked out of the cafeteria and down the hall. We passed Cole’s old room without a word. But it didn’t matter anyway I just wanted to get home. I couldn’t stay here anymore. I had to get away from the place that took the life out of my family.
