...And Here You Go
- - -
I watch you leave,
Feel the anger inside,
Don't understand why,
I simply can't hide.
You were my soul,
The half I didn't know,
But we've had a bad way,
And here you go.
You've packed and locked,
Everything that is yours,
I watch your face,
As you slam the doors.
I can't understand,
What has occurred,
I just can't believe,
All that I heard.
I was so sure,
That we were meant to be,
But now it's clear,
And I can see
That you played a game,
And enjoyed it too,
The disgust that I feel,
Is more for me than you.
I was so blind,
So innocently trusting,
You had me begging,
You had me lusting.
There are no tears,
Just a storm deep inside,
I don't want to know,
Hoe much you lied.
I don't want to see,
That smug smile or face,
'Cuz I hate you now,
My love was misplaced.
So, I watch you leave,
Feel the anger inside,
Don't understand why,
I simply can't hide.
You were my soul,
The half I didn't know,
But we've had a bad way,
And here you go.
