Lying on water’s edge…hearing a thousand lives pass by my ears…feeling the hearts of a thousand more. Floating in air almost…free of all worries, free of all pain, of all suffering…of thoughts and emotions…free of almost myself even. Such bliss…such pain.

Is this what it is to die? Is this what it feels for your soul to slowly leave your body and float away? Death almost. Death be not proud, you stupid motherfucker. And yet, there he is, waiting at the end, scythe in hand. Is there a way to somehow cheat him? To walk around him unnoticed, and continue on living as though nothing will happen? No. There isn’t. He is waiting at the end to meet you, and when the time comes, you will meet him.

But it’s alright, it’s okay, don’t worry anymore. Because Death is never alone. Death is always accompanied by his more presentable friend, the one we like to see, the one to whom we rush up to first, the one we desperately grasp to as Death wraps his fingers around you, and effortlessly drags you away. You kick and scream like a lunatic. No, don’t take me! I want to be with him! I want Life! I don’t want it to end!

To choose Life over Death…to love Death more then Life…it’s all the same. You’re not cheating on one more then on the other, because they’re both the same, they both coexist. One can’t be there without the other. They are nature’s true lovers, equal in every sense. Death takes away, and Life takes it back.

Choose one, or choose the other. It doesn’t matter in the end. After all, they love each other more then they love you.
