Upon the concrete are swirls of chalk --
vibrant&amateur pictures soiled the stone by a child's hand.
Rainbow castles and dancing unicorns,
carry her fantasy on cotton candy fairy wings.

A shadow looms overhead,
eclipsing her sun in utter blackness.
It was him, a stranger to most :
but not to her.

He takes her hand,
He leads her away.
far, far away..
Past the sidewalk kingdom&kool-aid stands,
Off to a place called
Never Never Land
