I could be all that you want

If only you would ask the right questions

If shadows do as you claim and fade
Then what can I count on to be everlasting

When the sun strikes me with its cancer filled rays
Will the spots they create tear my inner beauty to shreds?

If I ask question after question and my tongue dries
Will the answers evaporate as well before they reach inside my mind?

Would you catch me if I asked?
If your answer is yes I promise to reciprocate

But only on the one condition that you promise to play those last few notes and go very slow
So that I might savor the melody and the emotions that stir deep within my soul

I could be all that you want

If only you would ask the right questions

A/N- At first I wasn't very fond of this poem but as I started to revise it the words grew on me. So if you don't like it at first I promise not to take any offence but hope you will still review, if onlt to tell me why you disliked it. Also I've been Going around practically begging people to read my story Remember the Days Of Innocence. I'd really like your opinion on it and any suggestions as to where you feel the story should go would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Have a lovely day
