die kleine maus PM
this was, on my part, an ambitious attempt but, like most others, it fell flat.

That night, each second was twisted

Into another, something longer

Than before. And I was afraid,

I thought that I might get left behind

When all the clocks stopped.

I didn't have my own watch then,

Perhaps I was alone. A loner, with

A bag and a half eaten sandwich to her name.

That night, the stars went quickly

Blinking until they were blacker

Than the air. And I was amazed,

I hoped that I might get pulled along

With the last that disappeared.

I didn't have my own map then,

Perhaps I had got lost. Lost alone with

A face and soul that soon forgot my name.
