Posture tall, strong and fierce

whispers stop as she approaches

All eyes are on her

Teachers adore her and her literature

Classmates idol her style

Fierce Young Woman

Stands out in the crowd of faces

she is not like the rest of us

She is gorgeous, confident, intelligent

A strong mind inside a body of will

School slowly ends and night quickly falls

She slides out of her shoes and

Takes a seat in a bubble bath

Finally relaxing a bit

Her family is blind to how amazing she is

“Be realistic” they tell her “Grow up.

“Your dreams are too whimsy.”
