My Reason for Being

When I look at you,

I know that the world,

In all its complexity,

Could not be more simple,

Who knew?

That love would come in such a small form.

With legs like rubber,

And an iron grip on my finger,

You’re blue eyes,

Reminiscent of your father,

My life,

I live for you now,

My heart,

My soul,

My son.
