The world is much too Big

Giant chairs

Massive tables, calling stares

Everything towering over, like a

foot above an ant

Shoes much too big

Dark, looming shadows, are my

skyscraper friends,

Always looking down

Feeling like Jack and the Bean Stalk

But this is no dream

No fairy tale ending for me

Living in a land of giants

I’m not a circus spectacle.

There is no crimson tent,

No bearded lady next to me.

I can’t reach

I need a lift

An extremely high pair of heels,

Even though I’m a guy!

Sigh.

No roller coaster rides.

No reaching the cookie jar.

The peddles are much too far.

Alas,

I am small.

I am not tall.

Tiny hands, tiny feet, tiny stature,

But my life is big,

My life of a midget.
