The form of the vampire,

You say?

The bloodthirsty demon,

You say?

The mindless devil-child,

You say?

This is what I say:

You stand on the ground,

My winged shadow glancing down,

And you cannot deny

The stirrings of wonderment in your heart.

For this is what Nature meant for me to be;

Not the dark thing that Man made me.

I can soar in this sky ocean,

And know that true beauty is always with me.

So you, you two-legger:

You stay standing on the ground,

Yearning for something you shunned.
