I’ve never tried to govern your life

Never spied or pried into your affairs

So why is it,

That you always pry into mine!

I don’t care about my clothes

You don’t touch my books

Or my music

But…

This laptop is mine

It was given to me

I might live in your house

But that doesn’t mean you can take it,

Or unplug it, whenever you please!

You have no right

To pry into my private life

I wouldn’t mind if you used it from time to time

But ask first, and don’t snoop into my files!

I leave your things alone

So why can’t you do the same for mine?
